R.S.Samant Engg. Pvt. Ltd. was started in the year 1995. We handle different activities such as Designing, Engineering & Manufacturing of Chemical Equipment’s, Piping, and Site Erection & Commissioning. Now R.S.Samant Engineers has been widely recognized as a reliable source for total and simple solution for Chemical, Petrochemical and Bio-chemical industries.

Quality Assurance Plan
Drawings:- Based on parameters, design and drafting are done as per relevant code requirement. These are checked by Client / Consultants & approved before commencement of work.
Identification of material and components for pressure Parts ( Raw Material)
Verification with manufacturers T.C. with regard to the properties like physical, Chemical, size, finish visual defects & stamping Full Testings to specification at random.
Identification of material and components for Non pressure Parts:-
Testing as per material specification with regard to the properties of material, size, finish visual defects.
Incoming and issue of stores material and consumables:-
Verification and correction with indents / Test certificates where applicable, Checks of gardens and validity with respect to application in process against job indent.
Fabrication and inprocess Inspection:-
• WPS :- As per ASME Sec. IX/IS 2825 or applicable code. Formats as per respectivecode.
• PQR:- As per related WPS quantum of check 100% Reference document WPS acceptance norms ASME Sec. IX, VIII Div. I or applicable code.
• Weld fit-up:- Long seam, Circ. Seam, shell / Head, nozzles, etc. Quantum of check 100%. Reference Approved Drawings. Type of check; Dimension, Geometry, Edge preparation Alignment, Circulatory & finish as per approved drawings.
• NDT:-
•D.P. Test:- Test for detection of Surface discontinuity. Type of check, visual (after application and removal of penetrate and spraying of developer). Quantum of check 100% over weld, after back chip or interpass grinding reference document ASME Sec. V or respective code. Format of record ‘Inspection Report’.
•RT:- Test for detection of Internal Flaws in weld by radiography as per code. Reference document, ASME Sec. V. Acceptance norms, ASME Sec. VIII Div. 1 or applicable code, Format of record ‘Inspection Report and radiographed films.’
•Dimensional Inspection:- To check overall dimensions as per approved drawings,Quantum of check 100%. Acceptance norms ASME Sec. VIII Div I. / Respective Code Format ‘Inspection Report’.
• Hydrostatic Test / Pneumatic Test:- To check leak lightness. Quantum of check100% Reference documents, approved drawings, specified test pressure. Duration of test, Half an one hour. Acceptance norms, no leakage. Format of record, ‘Inspection Report’.
• Vacuum / Simulation Test:- Type Check, the equipment is subjected to prespecified external pressure. Quantum of checks ; 100% Reference document ; as per prior approved procedure. Acceptance norms, no damage. Format of Record ‘Inspection Report’. |

Visual & Dimensional Checking of Process material
Our Quality Control Department carries out the following checkpoints as per relevant standard code for visual dimensional checking of the process materials.
- Specified dimensions (Length x Width / Diameter x Thickness)
- Specified material Class, code & Certificates
- To check physical / visual defects such as scratches, pits & etc.
General Checks
• Geometrical Defects:- Inspection of defects in forming bending, forging, drawing with respect specified check on tolerance on circulatory, thinning & distortion. Check on weld fit up’s root gap, weld profile, run-in and run-out Plates etc.
• Weld Defects:- Check on lack of fusion, lack of penetration, excess reinforcement, undercuts, born through, blow holes, porosities, etc.
• Process Defects:- Check on welding current, Voltage, speed, feed, weld beads, electrode drying, weld edge cleaning, manipulation of electrodes, back-gauging / chipping / grinding, purity & flow rates of shielding / purging gases.
• Post weld Heat Treatment:- Check against pre determined procedural requirement as per relevant code. Scrutiny of heat cycle chart with respect to predetermined testing and cooling rates.
• Surface Treatment:- Check against the procedure as per specified requirement for picking, passivation, sand / Grit Blasting, clearing and application of primer.
• Painting:- Check on quality, dry film thickness measurement after each coat and final coat as required / specified.
• Mock – up Assay & Test:- Applicable in case of heat exchanger. Code of practice TEMA ASME Sec – VIII Div. I.

Laboratory Testing :
In absence of original mill T.C., material is tested in approved material testing laboratory as per relevant standards and Codes to confirm the expected material specification. Client’s Authorized Inspection Agency witnesses this tests.

To confirm the required specification, material is tested in Approved Material Testing Laboratory. Testing are carried out into six divisions.

Stagewise & Final Inspection is carried out by our quality dept. & it is witnessed at all critical stages by client’s Authorized Inspection Agency. We maintain all the necessary

Inspection & Testing reports are produced for final Inspection. Then we prepare the Inspection Dossier as a final documentation for submitting to Client at the time of dispatch.
